The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I received two more degrees from Penn State: MS Botany, 1959 and Ph.D. Genetics, 1967. I met my wife of 50 years, Judy, while a graduate student. I joined the Biology Department faculty at Old Dominion University in 1962 (it was then the Norfolk Division of William and Mary) and stayed in the Department until 1985 when I was asked to be Associate Dean of the College of Sciences. I became Dean in 1991 and retired from full-time academe in 1995. Since then I have enjoyed retirement by being a grandfather to our five grandchildren, reading, gardening, traveling, consulting, volunteering and doing grant reviews for several national and local organizations. So far, my health has been very good and that is a true godsend.
